Aidence extends its advisory board with leading clinical and deep learning experts

Aidence is proud to announce Dr Arjun Nair and Dr Diederik Kingma will join our advisory board, helping us achieve its mission of creating deep learning solutions with meaningful clinical impact.

Our first solution Veye Lung Nodules supports the radiologist in the detecting and reporting of pulmonary nodules. With Dr Arjun Nair and Dr Diederik Kingma, we extend our expertise, specifically towards Veye being developed in close alignment with the clinical guidelines and the latest state of deep learning technology.

Dr Arjun Nair is an influential thought leader in thoracic oncological imaging with a focus on lung cancer screening and pulmonary nodule management. He works as a consultant radiologist at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Dr Nair qualified from the University of Edinburgh Medical School in 2001. In 2011, he was awarded the Thoracic Imaging Fellowship at the Royal Brompton Hospital and completed his thesis on “Computed Tomography Reading Strategies in Lung Cancer Screening”, for which he was awarded an MD by the University of Edinburgh in 2014. In the course of his research, Dr Nair is actively involved in the UK Lung Screen pilot trial.

Dr Diederik Kingma is a world-class scientific researcher in the field of deep learning. He is a senior researcher and was part of the founding team of OpenAI in San Francisco. He obtained his PhD (cum laude) in machine learning at the University of Amsterdam. Between 2009 and 2013, Dr Diederik Kingma was the co-founder and AI specialist of Advanza, a company developing and selling B2B tooling for lead generation and sales.

We welcome both to our advisory board. Edwin van Beek, Arjun Nair and Diederik Kingma will support in shaping and guiding the product strategy of Aidence and work closely with our leadership team. We look forward to working with them and taking the next steps in our journey to create new solutions on our Veye platform that are relevant to the radiologist and the patient.
